To the One Who Became Strong Too Early

A deeply emotional letter about hyper-independence, survival mode, never feeling safe to rest, and confusing strength with loneliness.

You learned to handle things before you were ready to. To be the calm one, the capable one, the one who didn’t need help because help was never reliably there. Somewhere along the way, strength became your identity and rest became something you don’t quite know how to do without guilt.

I want you to know: that strength kept you safe, but it was never supposed to be permanent. You don’t have to keep proving you can carry everything alone. You are allowed to be held, to lean, to rest without earning it first.

What looked like strength was sometimes just survival. You’re allowed to put it down now.

You don’t have to be strong every single day to be worthy of love.

With you, always.
